Hurricane Ian was one of the most devastating hurricanes to hit the U.S. in the past decade. In late September, the tropical storm pressed on through Florida and South Carolina, causing massive destruction in its wake. The most severe damages and losses were in Fort Myers and Naples, Florida – mostly due to the extreme flooding in the area. Millions were left without power, and many homes and businesses were damaged or destroyed. Afterward, it was estimated that the losses from the storm were upwards of 50 billion dollars.

To help provide aid for those impacted by Hurricane Ian, Hendrick coordinated a monetary donation drive through October 21, 2022. Employees from both the Owensboro, KY and Carbondale, PA facilities participated, and their donations were matched up to $5,000. All funds were donated to the American Red Cross.
