KENTUCKY TORNADO RELIEF EFFORTS

In December 2021, Western Kentucky experienced one of the most severe tornado events in the state’s history. Crossing through eleven counties, the tornado was exceptionally long tracked, traveling nearly 200 miles. The city of Mayfield in Graves County was hit hardest, due to the destruction of a candle factory, which caused several casualties.

In response, Hendrick coordinated a monetary donation drive through February 25, 2022, for those affected by the Kentucky tornados. Employees from both the Owensboro, KY and Carbondale, PA facilities participated, and their donations were matched by The Drake Foundation – $2 for every $1 donated. All funds collected and matched were donated to the American Red Cross.
